I think this is officially the first week that Momma In Focus totally caught me off guard! I was driving home from Target this evening, totally zoning out to my tunes when it just hit me, "holy moly, it's Thursday night and I haven't taken my weekly pic with Daisy!" Then my brain proceeded to spin with excuses that I could blog about as to why I didn't get my pictures this week but, then I came up with this very simple last minute idea...I could paint Daisy's toenails for the first time and paint them a fun punchy coral color that I already have at home. Yah, it's definitely a stretch for the orange color prompt but, it'll do:)
I was actually excited because I have always wanted to paint her cute little piggy toes. She was very curious about the whole process so she actually sat quite still (aside from wiggling her toes a lot) while I painted as fast as I could. I made sure to keep the coat super light and thin so it would dry immediately and not wipe off or smear...I was about 80% successful. Good enough though and so cute to see her little baby feet with girl polish! She's such a little lady now!
I look forward to seeing your weekly pictures and there is a link up at the end of this post if you would like to join. Please don't ever feel pressured to use the prompt words. This linkup is really just for fun and even I may not always be able to follow my own prompt. lol. The main thing is that you get in pictures with your kiddos each week! You won't regret the memories you capture!
Next week's prompt (always optional): Fruit (yummmmm)
Such a cute idea, love it.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like such a little grown up with that polish! How neat you captured her first nail polish
ReplyDeleteHa ha - way to think on your feet. LOL I'm so funny!
ReplyDeleteI have painted devans toes since she was 6 months old and now it's weird to see her toes have no polish.. So cute!!!! Love daisys toes!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so sweet--way to go momma!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute! I think it's sweet how they are so fascinated by it!
ReplyDeleteCute cute!! I won't have a momma in focus post this week cuz we are going camping! I might do one yet but then it would just be a little bit late:) these are so adorable though!! Kaela also LOVES getting her toenails painted and sits perfectly still which NEVER happens otherwise!!
ReplyDeleteCutesy baby feet and toes are the best. The third pic is just too sweet!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun memory :) I love that color too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!!! Even Emma at 4 1/2 still wiggles her toes when I try to paint them! She actually did better at the salon, but I think it was b/c of the cotton between her toes & she was worried to move when a stranger was painting her toes! LOL
ReplyDeleteSo awesome that you captured that "first" for Daisy! She'll love seeing these pics when she is older! She's gonna want them painted all the time now mommy!!!
what a fun memory you have now! Was this the first time you painted her toenails? My heart loves this so much...oh dear Casey!
ReplyDeleteLove those toes!
ReplyDeleteLove that Casey- I started painting the girls toes when they were about 6 months old- I did it while they were restrained in the highchair. Plus - then they couldn't see what I was really doing & it kept them from touching it until it was dry. I love seeing their little toes painted- so girly!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea on your part- came out so cute!
her toes are cute and chubby such a fun time.
ReplyDeleteHow cute...i loved getting my nails painted when i was a little kid. My mom always ordered something at Yves Rocher and i got the little testers which were in the package...lol.
ReplyDeleteAwww. this is too sweet!

ReplyDeleteI love it. So adorable!
ReplyDeletehahaha LOVE those little piggys!
ReplyDeleteAwe, sweet baby feet! Nothing in the world cuter than that!
ReplyDeletesooooo cute, her toes are scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteoh, these photos are adorable!! i think i've painted my toes about three times in my entire life (just don't have the nicest toenails and it's not my thing) BUT i think levi would LOVE it. :) he's just at that age where he wants to do everything we do. one of his fave parts of the day is when i sit down in front of our mirrored closet and put my make-up on. he loves playing with the brushes and wiping chapstick all over his face. (i don't let him play with my other stuff!;) oh, and shoving the eyelash curler in my cheeks and eyes. he definitely loves to "help"! lol. :)
