My mom quickly learned all of the things that Daisy loves to do and was great about playing with muddy rocks to entertain Daisy. lol
Thankful to my momma for snapping pictures of me and Daisy. She took a lot of awesome ones but, I had to narrow them down to keep this post under control! haha. I go on a lot of evening or early morning strolls with Daisy when the weather is the most bearable outside. She likes to stop and smack the plastic electric boxes on everyone's lawns...do you see those big ugly boxes in the neighbors lawn? Why they designed all of our homes with the boxes out in front like that is beyond me. Oh well...at least Daisy likes them! lol
This shot is SOOC - straight out of camera. I just loved the way the evening sunlight was hitting the side of our faces creating a soft orange glow. I didn't want to mess with something that was already so perfect (lighting that is!) in editing. Daisy is playing with the latch on our gate and I just love the calm feeling in this shot. She is always curious about everything and wants to try everything that we try.
We have been on the go more and more lately so there has been a lot more car afternoon naps for Daisy lately. Love watching her sleep. So peaceful.
Uncle Tom and cousin Tyler stopped by for a quick visit just before they had to catch their plane back to California. Daisy was such a ham for them. She was giggling, scrunching her nose, showing off her belly and flirting up a storm. A lot of the family thinks that Daisy looks a little bit like a cross between Tom's two daughters (who are absolutely gorgeous!) but, I hear that she especially resembles his oldest daughter, Shannon. Tom's family has been cheering Daisy on since day one and we always love when we get together and can catch up. Thanks for visiting! Oh, and in the last picture Daisy is doing this weird thing that she started doing with her hands whenever her picture was taken. She started pumping her fists up and down in opposite directions and getting this really silly look on her face. I managed to capture her in that moment perfectly!
So adorable!!! I love to watch how kids interact with things we don't even see sometimes - the rocks, plastic boxes, the latch - they don't miss a thing! Daisy's curiosity is fantastic!!!!!!! Pray she never loses it!
ReplyDeletelove it, the rocks, you know as I kept having kids the less and less I bought toys because it always seems they go for the pans and such in the kitchen and ROCKS in the driveway. Yip, no need for TOYS, hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteI remember those days...only with Wyatt, the rock collecting has never stopped! I am forever finding gravel, sticks, feathers, crawdaddy pincers, etc all over my house.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you stopped by WyTography the other day. I am right there with you...haven't been online nearly at all lately. I've been trying to be outside and with Wyatt as much as possible. I'm so glad you've been spending more time with your family! Have a blessed day!
Love,
Cindy
Beautiful once again! Rocks are fascinating! I've found a few under B's pillows in the past too, be warned!
ReplyDeleteShe is precious! Yes, isn't it amazing how kids really don't need all those things!
ReplyDeleteWe actually do this with our dog, I use old t shirts that I cut up and braid or tie into knots and those are her chew toys! We have never bought her anything from a store!
Thats crazy! Kaela does the same thing! Goes over to the rock bed and thats her favorite place to play:) I swear we need to get these two together! I love the pictures of you and daisy together, the lighting on the one is perfect just as you say!
ReplyDeleteshe is too adorable i cant stand it :)
ReplyDeleteSo much sweetness in this post - and I agree...no one needs real toys - much more fun if we use our imagination!
ReplyDeleteAWh how sweet! Part of me thinks kids are excited with the littlest things sometimes rather than their toys. Bri'elle started to play with our rocks in the front yard too. It's great part of nature and the outdoors. Daisy is so cute! I love all the pictures.

Rocks, pans, boxes etc. etc. etc. Great pics!
ReplyDeleteKids are really so very simple sometimes. I love it! Boxes, rocks, pots, pans...
ReplyDeleteI love the two-handed fist pump! :D And your mom really did a great job of capturing the two of you--the lighting in that one photo really is about as perfect as it can get!
ReplyDeleteI love that one where she's looking at you like "uhhhh, you didn't see anything- I'm doing absolutely nothing wrong here" So cute.
ReplyDeletehe he! Too cute. I love these. Dustyn loves playing with rocks. Great photos of you and Daisy.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to relive these moments through your words and pictures Case. I just can't get enough! And I'm honored that some of the pictures that I took are on here! I love you all to pieces!!! marme:)
ReplyDeleteYour photos are always so wonderful... like you could step right in and say hi. Love the one of you and Daisy and the gate.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is adorable, and I love the ones with you in them - you are lucky to get in some shots with D.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me that I need to take a few more sleeping baby photos! They look so peaceful and so fragile when sleeping.
