Faith

I love Jesus.  I love Him, I love Him I LOVE HIM. I have tried repeatedly to write my testimony for this post on my blog.  I want to share how passionate I am about Jesus.  I want to express why I believe that HE is as real as you or I and that He isn't a fictitious story in a book.  I want to share how he has changed my life in such a powerful way.  I want to captivate you with the nitty gritty details of what he has done in me.  I want you to want to know Him personally as I do, because He gives life and life abundantly and I fear that without him a person will not have eternal life as scripture makes that clear.  I do not want to shove anything down anyone's throat.  I am not remotely interested in casting judgement or standing on a soap box.  I am not a pushy person and I am not an aggressive person.  I just love Him and it is as simple as that.

But, for some strange reason it seems that the Lord is not giving me the right words to share these things in depth.  As I said, I've tried repeatedly and I continue to fail and flounder.  I often think that in these times the Lord is telling me to wait until He gives me the words that He wants shared and not just the words that I want to share.  So, for the time being I will leave this page this way until He gives me more direction.

Please know that the main reason that I blog is to minister to anyone and everyone, so if you ever have a prayer request or just need someone to be there for you please e-mail me!

And I will leave you with a few of my favorite verses.  Be blessed today!

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."  Matthew 6:34  This is the verse that inspired the name for our blog.  I explained why under our FAQ's.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6  I constantly need to remind myself not to rely on my own thinking and understanding.  God doesn't work under the restrictions of human understanding and logic.  He is miraculous, able, and all powerful and He has never failed to direct my steps and keep me on the right path.  Thank you Jesus!

"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:16  This is one of the few verses I have had memorized since I was a little girl.  It is a great reminder to that I need to shine for Jesus in good seasons and bad so that others might see Christ through me.  If any good is seen in me it is simply a reflection of the King of Kings as He is the source of all good things.

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galations 6:9  Life in general is tiring.  And let's be honest...being a Christian can be tiring at times and it can be easy to "grow weary" of walking this walk when I forget to take time to recharge my faith.  This verse has always encouraged me when I need it most.  It gives me that gentle nudge that I need to keep pressing on joyfully, because there is a reward at the end of the line. "It will be worth it all someday" as the song goes:-)

"Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 11: 18-20  My mom was so diligent in her efforts to teach me about Jesus as a child both by her example and by studying the word with me. As a result, I have an awesome relationship with Jesus today!  I love this verse because it reminds me how important it is to spend time with the Lord every day, to make him an important part of everything I do and to begin teaching my children about Him, because He IS that important!  His word should be over my door frame, written on my shirts, on my bumper stickers, His love should be all that I want to talk about because He is that amazing!

  2. love all of these. my son is two and i pray with him before every naptime and every bedtime and we say grace before dinner. and now he is able to pray on his own. it is prehaps the sweetest thing i've ever witnessed... my little baby saying, "hi jesus. thank you for food, house, and ummm... playground. amen." :)
it's so awesome that you were raised in a christian home. it's the best legacy that we can give our children. i'm hoping it starts with me and continues on forever. :)
