Four Months Old Today

Today miss Daisy is 4 months old! I can't believe how fast these past months have gone by and I am constantly amazed at how quickly babies learn new things and grow. This parenting journey has been the most wonderful experience imaginable. This little girl fills our hearts with so much joy, gives us so many laughs and smiles and has us both wrapped around her finger:).

What does she enjoy these days?

Loves stroller walks around the neighborhood
Seems to really like the swimming pool for about 20 minutes or so before she fizzles out
Loves being held in a sit up position while she looks at herself in her mirror or on the living room floor by her play mat
Is enjoying being held A LOT more now
LOVES being outside!!
Is happiest after eating, napping and going potty. hahaha
Is fascinated by everything that people around her are holding. She has tried to grab cups, mugs, plates, forks, papers, candy etc. out of my hands to chew on. She stares at us when we are eating...I think she is going to be ready to be eating solid food here pretty soon
She likes to chew on my face now and roughly grab and my hair. She's a crack up!

She doesn't like laying on her back nearly as much anymore which is a bummer....I can just tell that she is going to be a super active kid in no time! lol.

Daisy my dear, we love you to pieces! You are beautiful and perfect in every way:-) Happy 4 month Birthday Baby!! xoxo

**Thank you Bruce and Judy for the darling outfit!!

Flash Back Friday - Undeserving

I Do Not Deserve His Love

I do not deserve
To catch a glimpse of His face
Let alone be in the company of angels.
For when I observe the magnificent skies,
The angry storms and their displays of power
When I stare at the vast seas
That stretch beyond my imagination
And still in the presence of these
I wrestle with my daily uncertainties.
Not doubting God's existence,
But struggling to fully fall at His feet
To truly grasp the depths of His love.
So much evidence before me,
Yet I offer Him so little.
Indeed I am nothing
But that which he has made in me.
And though I am ashamed of my gifts,
He lifts up my face and shines upon me.

I wrote this poem several years ago but, it is still one of my favorites today. I am in awe of how patient, merciful, loving and forgiving our God is. I am such a screw up and I seem to blow it daily even when I really am trying to be faithful and obedient to His word. I'm in awe of how much nature speaks of our creator, how much life speaks of our creator and how much love speaks of our creator and I am ashamed that I could ever have doubts. I have learned though, that doubts are a part of life and faith at times and that we can even grow much stronger in our faith by evaluating our doubts and pursuing the Lord in the process. It's a beautiful thing! I'm so thankful that God still "shines" on me as scripture says even though I don't deserve it. There is no love on this planet as deep as the love that God offers His kids. That's some pretty crazy, awesome, deep love! I hope you feel God shining on you today!

Hanging out with her Uncle. Being serious as usual:)

Uncle Jeremy stopped by for a quick visit and it was so great to see him and for him to be able to meet and hold Daisy for the first time. He and Joey also enjoyed playing video games until 2:30 in the morning. Definitely a special occasion in our house:) lol. It was great seeing you Jeremy!

Bet You Didn't Know

Bet You Didn't Know:

-Casey's Turn -

Yogurt
- I have never cared for foods with a uh, smooth textures I guess?? I don't mind yogurt if I add granola or nuts but, by itself. bleh!
Ice Cream - Except for on a rare occasion when Ben and Jerry's calls my name (probably a texture thing again) I've got to be the only girl on the planet that doesn't need to eat ice cream right?
Onions - Hate them raw but, I can tolerate them cooked...now.
Horror Movies - I am a chicken and scary movies give me bad dreams and also require me to sleep with my light on for a week until I get over them. Not worth it!
Super spicy Food - I get sweaty and end up with a tummy ache but, I do love a good mild salsa!
Maple syrup and pancakes - Never have been a fan, though I can get it down if I'm uber hungry. I DO however love maple frosted donuts and maple candies. Go figure!
Country music - Sorry....I continue to try and adapt for the sake of my husband who loves country as does his entire family but, plain and simple the twang is just not my thang.
Pastel pink shirts - never have looked good on me
High heels - I am almost 5' 9". I don't enjoy bringing extra attention to my height, though on a special occasion I might wear a small heel. WooHoo!
Taking baths - I don't have the patience to sit and relax in a tub and if I were to sit and relax I would much rather snuggle on the couch in my jammies and watch a good show or movie. Horrible, I know.
Cooking- You probably already to know that I have no interest in cooking whatsoever. It feels like I'm working a second shift after my already super long work day. I just don't like it at all.
Crying - I almost never cry. It's not that I'm cold and heartless, just that I don't like the way crying makes me feel.

-Joey's Turn-

Olives - hates them (I think they are delicious and eat them like candy!!)
Rap and R&B - He's never been a big fan
Barney - freaks Joey out
crying - Joey cries during movies and can be such a cute softie so I guess he makes up for where I lack:-)
spicy food fanatic - He devours anything spicy...cheetos, top ramen, salsa, cheezits, etc.
fishing - would become a professional fisherman if he could
Reading - He finds it boring and tedious
Shopping - He'd let me shop all day every day so long as I never drag him along. He hates it!
pointy toed heels - Fortunately for Joey I almost never bother wearing heels but, if I were to, he has made it clear that he is not a fan of super pointy toed heels
cooked fish - He loves sushi with a passion but, cooked fish has never been a big hit with Joey. I on the other hand could eat cooked salmon all day everyday!

Wrap Up

I just loved Daisy's happy face in this picture above and below: Mama and Daisy watching Veggie Tales while we wait for dinner to finish up. I'm a big Veggie Tales fan and Daisy loves all the bright colors and fun songs.
My little punkin' head
Talking to Tiki on her play mat. Lately she has grown very bored of her play mat and anything that requires her to lay on her back. I can tell that she is dying to be able to sit up and play with different things. Soon enough Daisy girl...soon enough.
We have to really watch Daisy now because she spins in her sleep. She was completely against the inside of the couch and then next thing I know she had rotated in her sleep to the point that she was hanging off the couch. Now we lay a bunch of pillows on the floor so she will never fall far...no worries:)
Grandma Lulu and Daisy having some fun with the camera. Daisy was having fun pulling my mom's hair.

Daisy and one of her most favorite toys - George...we think he's a monkey but, we aren't sure. lol
Does she seem freaked out?? This picture cracks me up. Maybe George was a little too close for comfort. lol
just after getting out of the pool. Relaxing outside in the warm night air.
Daddy and Daisy- Joey is SO in love with his baby girl!
Twin day! Nanny, and sister Jess. I couldn't help but, change into my dress when I saw that Jess had worn hers. We just happen to have the same one. Random.
Grandma Lulu, Mama and baby. Pool day finale picture.
K, I think I am officially caught up on the pictures taken during my mom's week long visit! Yeah! I just put Daisy down for bed and I am heading to bed myself. It's been a long day but in other news, my little sister Anna is flying in to visit with us for a week. She gets in super early tomorrow morning and then she will get to meet Daisy for the first time! This is a big trip for Anna because she has never flown anywhere by herself, after all, she is only 16. I'm proud of her for being so brave! The hubs is watching American Chopper (one of our favorite shows to watch together) and I'm dreaming of Friday already. Sigh. Three more days....chugga, chugga, choo, choo!!

First Pool Day - Yeah!

first family pool picture:) It was a super warm night and the water was nice and warm too. Perfect for a first swim!
Daddy got Daisy dressed in her new bathing suit..that she will probably only be able to wear once before she out grows it. Bummer.
Look at me mom, I'm getting in my bathing suit! :)
We couldn't find Daisy's hat so I stuck one of mine on her and she looked so cute...like a little train conductor or something:)
Daddy floating Daisy around the pool.
mama and her baby girl. Daisy pretty much spent the entire pool session in silence while chewing on her fingers. She just checked everyone and everything out quietly and when we got home she was So wiped out even though we'd only been gone about 30 minutes or so! lol

Daisy did absolutely awesome during her first swim. She never made a peep...of excitement or unhappiness. She just took it all in quietly as she often does and chewed on her fingers very seriously. It was super cute to see her little body in the big pool and boy did her diaper ever balloon up. I didn't feel like spending money on a water diaper when she would only wear it once so I took a chance on her wearing a regular diaper and I think it must have weighed over 5 pounds and it eventually exploded by the time we got her out of the pool. There is some weird stuff inside a diaper! lol. Daisy, I can tell that you are going to be a little fish someday:). Thanks mom for taking these pictures for us!

My Little Angel

Grandpa Hart spoiled Daisy by sending her a super cute Angels outfit complete with bib and booties. My Dad is a big Angels fan and being that I grew up in Southern California I'm a fan of the Angels too....though I have to be honest if I had to choose...I lean more towards the boys in blue...sorry Daddy!! Regardless, the outfit was darling and as you can tell, Daisy liked it too:) Thanks Grandpa! xoxo
Flying with Grandma Lulu

Just hanging out in her diaper. She was making so many funny faces while I took her picture!

Bath time is quite messy now. Water gets kicked all over the counter and floor and now Daisy grabs the wash cloth away from me. It's a crack up!

Play time with mommy
Can you tell that we adore her?
Say Cheese!

She loves giving me slobber "kisses" now:)
Catch up will continue for a few days so bear with me:) Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend! Today was a day of touch up painting, running errands and trying to relax. Joey grilled the most amazing chicken for dinner tonight. He really has become the master griller! Night Night.

Catch Up Time Again

above: love my girls chunky legs and love when she has them all tucked in like this. below: still one of her favorite places on Earth...her changing dresser and mirror. We like to call this spot Daisy's Disneyland:-)
Joey and my mom hanging out with Daisy in another one of her favorite spots. Just chilling on a blanket on the living room floor. She can lay there by herself with no one around for a good 15-20 minutes and just chat or chew on her fingers quite contentedly.
she doesn't do this all the time but, she definitely loves her two middle fingers together when she gums on her hand
such a simple thing but, I found it too cute not to photograph. Love that Daisy kicked off one sock and it was just laying there all by itself. Cracked me up actually. It's the simple things in life remember:)
Going on a safari with jungle animals!
Precious little tootsies!

My pooped out baby girl after her first drive without mommy. She did great!

This post was simply to catch up on some pics that I've been slacking on posting. I have so many more pics to post, oye, so stay tuned....I wonder if you will even be able to keep up with it all?? lol

Oh and I have to add that I did this entire post while laying on my stomach on the living room floor. I lost track of time and when I finished I tried to sit up and my body was as stiff as a board and it hurt to move. I found myself saying, "C'mon, I'm 27 not 58!" and then I couldn't help but, laugh at myself because I had to move very slowly to get out of my cramped position. Oh my goodness, I just got a scary glimpse into my future!
