Momma In Focus

Hi everyone! This week was a freebie week.  To be honest I meant to post our first pool pictures of the season today but, this week has been a busy one.  I've been anticipating a special visitor today...my momma flies into NC later tonight from CA!!  I haven't seen her since our super crazy Christmas visit.  I have been missing her like crazy and am beyond excited to go pick her up tonight.  Daisy has grown and changed so much since the last time my mom saw her.  I am so thankful for the great relationship I have with my mom.  We often talk everyday and somehow we never seem to run out of things to talk about!  I hope that someday Daisy and I will also be great friends after all of my years of parenting her.  This picture was taken the same day as last weeks challenge hence the same outfit:)  Daisy doesn't understand chalk yet.  She doesn't understand drawing either.  She does understand eating chalk and rolling every piece down our super steep driveway so this activity didn't last very long! haha  And a great life motto to live by: Don't worry. Be happy.
I hope you are all having a great week and have a wonderful weekend!

Next week I am going to be posting a picture of me, Daisy and my mom for momma and focus.  So if you would like another freebie week go for it!  Or, if any of you live near your moms or mother in laws I would love to see those!

  6. Awesome picture - so cute!!! Chalk is so much fun, too. We write on everything - the sidewalk, the fence, the brick on the house - LOL! Anything is game. It all washes off after all!

And I totally understand about the relationship with your mom. I talk to my mother every day on my commute - to & from work - and sometimes even during the day if I need to ask her something or just have something to share! We're are extremely close! So glad you have that with your mom b/c I know what a blessing it is!

(I promise I'm going to get back into Momma in Focus - I just feel like I never have the time. It's so much faster just to stay BEHIND the camera I guess.)

  8. Have an awesome visit with your Mom! That will be so special for her to have some good quality time with you and her Grandbaby! My mom lives 10 hours away so it's hard on her and my Dad not getting to be here watching Kaylin grow up in person. Is she the first Grandbaby for your parents?
