Thankful

I love giving thanks for the things I am thankful for!  Whenever I focus my heart on the things that I am thankful for I find that my attitude stays more positive and my body feels less heavy.  You know the feeling right?

*I am so thankful for my relationship with the Lord because He alone gives me what I need to make the most of every day!  He has been teaching me a whole heck of a lot lately and I am thankful for the lessons, even in the hard times. Really learning a lot about what love is...and what love isn't.  Curious? lol

*I'm thankful for my little bean baby girl.  She is so much fun and is soaking life up like a sponge right now.  Every new word she speaks brings me so much joy. I love that she loves her shoes and feels like such a big girl when she wears them.  When she kisses her Daddy with so much love and sweetness it melts my heart.  I love watching the bond between these two grow.  Love when Daisy stands on her tip toes to kiss Daddy and love when Daddy stops everything to play with his little girl.
swoon...I'm so thankful for my husband.  I don't say it enough but, he is a great husband.  Not gonna lie, this season is wearing me out but, I couldn't ask for a better guy to be going through a storm with.  Just tonight he took our little one to the park for an hour so I could have some quiet time and he surprised me with a Chick-fil-A hand spun vanilla milkshake when he came home ( can we all say...YUM).  He cleaned my car inside and out this weekend and does just about anything I ask him to do, seriously.  He loves to serve me and I am not exaggerating.  I am beyond blessed and the fact of the matter is, my husband is an amazing guy. I heart him very, very much.
I am thankful for the fact that I have food to feed my daughter and clothes to keep her comfortable.  She may be a ridiculously picky eater but, I have plenty of food to keep her from ever going hungry.  Seems like something so insignificant here in the states but, it really isn't.  Think about it...your children will most likely never know the pain of starvation!  That is a huge thing to be thankful for!
*I am thankful that I remember to take a few extra minutes to be patient and let my little one play with my things even when she is messy about it.  She just started lining things up in a row and I never taught her this.  She figured it out all on her own and I had the pleasure of watching her explore and discover something new.  Priceless.
I am thankful for the warm rays of the sun and the cool refreshing breezes of Fall.  I am thankful for a warm cup of coffee or tea in the morning while I sit on the couch with my little girl.  I am thankful for the internet to blog, research and waste my life away on pinterest....sigh. lol  I am thankful for my fantastic friends here in NC, out in CA, over in Kuwait and all over the globe that I have met through blogging etc.  I am thankful for our family....oh how I adore our family!!  I am thankful for another bridal session this weekend (FUN).  I am thankful for sleep...I LOVE sleep.  Thankful for hot showers, chewy sweet tarts, psych for making me laugh, a thoughtful gifted book that came in the mail (thank you Grandparents!), park play dates, easy dinners cooked on our bomb grill, purple painted toenails ready for fall, 2 cute shirts found on clearance, laughter, love...you get the idea. Honestly, what I am most thankful for above all else is Jesus, my loving Father in Heaven.  Everything that I am thankful for He has given to me.  So friends, what are you thankful for?

I could kiss this chubby face ALL DAY LONG if she'd let me...but, she won't so I'll settle for a few times a day with slobber all over and head butt shortly after.  Still well worth it!  hehe

  1. I have so much in common with this post with out daughters. Your little one and mine need to get together, they'd have so much fun. They're both picky eaters, they have the same sippy cups and paper plates, the love to take out the nail polish and line it up like they're playing beauty parlor. Let me know when you're in Charlotte next!

  10. There is so much to be thankful for isn't there! You struck a cord with me when you were talking about food supply and never knowing the pain of starvation. It took me back to the day we arrived in China to adopt our 19 month old daughter. She was living off one formula bottle a day at 19 months. We had to teach her how to eat solid food. The doctor who checked her upon leaving told us that if she had gone very much longer like that she never would have made it. So thankful that she is now a thriving 7yr old! Great pictures!
