She Took Her First Steps Tonight (YEAH!!)

These are point and shoot pictures taken by a smog check station where my car was being worked on haha. They had this gorgeous forsythia out front and it just screamed, "take a picture in front of me," so I did. haha Kicking myself for not having my nicer camera with me because the pics would have been sharper and more vibrant but, better than nothing. Daisy had fun. That's all that matters!

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS SAKES ALIVE MY CHILD IS STARTING TO WALK!!!!

I knew this day was coming but, I really didn't think it would come so soon! She has only been pushing her car around for a couple weeks tops and already I noticed that she was stepping from one object to another without holding anything in between which really surprised me. Once Daisy starts something she is really fast at picking it up. Tonight me and the hubs were sitting on the living room floor and Daisy was holding on to the ottoman and I held out my hands for her to come to me (I was just a foot away from her) not expecting her to walk to me just to lean to me and I would get her like I always do. Out of no where she lets go of the ottoman and walks three very solid, perfect steps into my arms. OH MY GOSH, I just about peed my pants with excitement as did Joey!! We were both laughing, squealing and giving each other high fives and kissing Daisy all over. She kept clapping because she knew she had done something special. IT was TOOOOOO cute!! Okay, I know most of you have been here and done this but, I know you remember how awesome it was when your kiddo took their first steps right. My heart was soaring!

I didn't expect Daisy to try and walk again as it seemed like it had been almost an accident but she proceeded to try and walk again a kajillion times. She can take about one or two steps and then we catch her and she is SO proud of herself!!! Then she started getting too brave and thought she could walk far further than she can by letting go of everything every time she stood up and it didn't take her long to realize she isn't quite that coordinated yet. lol

Sigh. Warm fuzzies.

You're gonna hate me but, because this was her very first attempt at walking we weren't able to capture it on film or on camera that I could blog with. We did film her on our home video camera but, I can't upload that unfortunately. I promise I will have footage very soon though as I am quite sure we will be seeing more of her walking in the very near future!
