Yes Please!

I thought it would be fun to window shop from the comfort of my couch tonight.  It didn't take me long to create a hefty wish list and I'll be honest... it was hard not to drool over all the pretty things I saw! I pulled a few of my faves to share with y'all tonight!

First up: A beautiful handmade tufted headboard.  I think we are going to try and make one soon!
I love that you can have the look of luxury without the hefty price tag when you make your own and they really aren't that complicated!  Well, the tufting is tricky to be fair and I am not sure that I will add that little detail if and when we make one...lol

Second in my virtual cart:  A gorgeous deep purple dress/blouse (it's a dress but, we'll pretend it's a blouse k).  I LOVE blouses that are comfortable and yet dressy because they are the easiest and fastest way to dress up a pair of jeans when I am in a hurry.  Classy yet casual.  LOVE!
Third Delight:  This dress caught my eye because of the mix and match patterns which I am a big fan of.  It would look so adorable paired with a citrus coral sweater and some really cute coral flats.   LOVE!
Next Up:  In case you don't know this about me, I am a sucker for flower earrings, necklaces etc. and yet somehow I still don't own a pair of earrings that I can wear.  I bought one pair from Target but, turns out they are too heavy and unfortunately hurt my ear lobes. Boo.  Bright yellow accessories make me SO happy!!

YES Please!  I love dressy sandals in all different colors and styles.  I could easily own a hundred pairs but, they would all have to be flats because I don't do heels...like 99.9% of the time.  Why you ask?  Because, I am 5'8" and the hubs is 5'10.5"and that just doesn't leave me much clearance to rock heels.  Plus, I find that I have always felt more comfortable closer to the ground.  I'm a flats gal what can I say!
Memo: Desperately need new pants!!   I am not sure what exactly happened when I got pregnant, had a child, lost the pregnancy weight am back to my pre-pregnancy weight and yet none of my pants fit right!  It is quite frustrating.  I would love to branch away from my overly flared old school jeans and simplify with some straight/skinnier leg jeans. These would suite my classier mom taste much better I think! Do you have a favorite brand?
Gimme:  Yes, you can see there is a pattern with my yellow obsession.  I LOVE bright yellow.  I think it looks so beautiful with jeans, brown accessories and beach wave hair. LOVE!
What the heck:  Why this shirt refuses to stand upright with the rest of my pictures is beyond me but, I am too lazy to go track down another gorgeous floral top so this will have to do.  I LOVE me some floral print tops. I already own quite a few but, I never seem to tire of them....at least not yet.  I don't have a cinched at the mid waist top like this one and I think it would be very cute worn with a brown belt worn where the shirt cinches! Darling!
You already knew right: I'm sure you all know that I am a sucker for polka dots right?  They just make me happy and this top is way freaking cute.  IT would look so cute with a khaki or white summery, pencil skirt!
Drooling: I found this bedding randomly while searching online and I kid you not I AM IN LOVE! I think it would look so beautiful against my beige padded headboard (you know..the one I am going to make in my dreams..).  I want to buy this...like now!
Swoon:  And what girl would love a nice pair of Steve Madden brown, leather ballet flats with a dainty little ankle strap.  I'm seriously swooning over these simple little shoes!

Well, that's all for tonight.  I hope you enjoyed my random virtual shopping spree.  I know I sure did!!  Have a blessed weekend!

  4. Two quick comments on your too heavy floral earrings - I have shared the same experience and used both of these solutions.

Try making a small circle of lightweight plastic, a little smaller than a dime, and poke a hole in the center. Place the disc behind your ear and hold it in place with the earring back. The disc helps to take some of the weight off of your lobe - a stabilizer of sorts.

If that doesn't help, may I suggest that you use your earrings as scatter pins. Gently poke them through your top and instant fun!

  10. I think we discussed it, but Alloy is the place to go for jeans for me. Especially skinny jeans. I love the twin pants ( they are in the pants section, but they look and feel like jeans).

BTW, I don't think you necessarily have to dress like a mom, just because you're a mom.

  13. So hip! I love everything you posted here :) I just bought my first pair of skinny jeans on Friday. I went to the buckle and bought a pair of BKE jeans (the Maddie jean - I think). I don't know for sure, but it's important for me for the waist to be higher than the ultra low hipster jeans that the teens wear. I love them...can't wear them for another 4 months until it cools down, but at least they are in my arsenal for December !
