Grandma Lulu Holding Daisy for the First Time

My mom came out to NC on April 27th and stayed for a week to see Daisy for the first time (in person) and to help me out and what a great help she was!! My mom and I also discussed that this visit was the first time we got to have time together with just the two of us in many, many years. It was such a treat to share some quality time and to be in each others company for a week. I learned so much about being a servant and being the hands and feet of Christ by watching my mom serve me and my family lovingly and tirelessly this past week. I think I can speak on behalf of most daughters (not all of course) that there is nothing like a mother's love and being that mother's day is less than a week away I can't think of a better time to say how much I love and appreciate my mom, Joey's mom, our Grandmothers and all the other moms I know!! This is my first year as a mom and wow, what a gift it is to be able to love on a child and to watch them grow! Thank you Jesus for richly blessing my life with so many amazing women and for blessing my life with Daisy this year!

I love the top picture of my mom holding Daisy and I'm sure my mom would rather that I didn't post this video but, personally I think it's priceless and adorable:-). I have so many more pictures and stories to post so hopefully I will get caught up this week.

Oh, and before I forget; Daisy has been intentionally smiling a lot more this past week. She doesn't smile all the time but, when she does it melts mine and Joey's hearts. She smiles the most for Joey but, I got a huge smile out of her today and it felt like I had been handed a million bucks. So yah:) Just wanted to document that at four to five weeks of age Daisy has been giving us her first purposeful smiles:). Can't wait to post pictures and videos of that!
