Smiley

I love this picture (above). Daisy was trying prunes for the first time. I was hoping it would help clear her clogged bowels after all the veggies stopped her up for so many weeks. Well, she did not like the prunes at all and of course I can't blame her. Somehow in spite of the fact that she spit more out that swallowed and gagged more than necessary, I still managed to get this huge grin out of her and if you look closely you can almost see her two bottom teeth poking through. they have come through more since this picture but, she never has her mouth open long enough for me to show them off:). Daisy can be a pretty serious baby at times but, when she gets comfortable she is so silly and smiley! I love it! Currently her favorite jar foods are squash and sweet potatoes. She devours them. What was your baby's favorite food?

Daisy will be six months old on Friday and I'm trying to think of a creative photo shoot to do with her so wish me luck! I'm running out of baskets to stick her in these days! haha.

  1. Dustyn loved sweet potatoes and green beans. Have you tried to do prune juice instead of the actually prunes?

  3. Ok, I know you get ALLLLLL this advice but this is one I HAVE to share. If you go into the baby section where all the baby foods are you will find pear juice (I think it is made by gerber, you can't get it in the actual juice section) and this works like prunes but it tastes REALLY good, like apple juice and it works amazing for the clogged up thing. I tell you what this was a life saver to me, try it, it is great! Oh, love the picture by the way Casey.

  5. I had to feed Aaron prunes regularly for a while b/c the poor baby never went to the bathroom. Well...that problem has cleared up and he goes very regularly now, though! LOL! Luckily he seemed to like the prunes!

I think his favorite food is squash right now...and it's funny b/c Emma absolutely loves zucchini!!

  7. what a great face Casey! I am sure there will be many more messy faces to come:-) good for you sticking to the veggies! I honestly can't remember which ones my boys liked...it was different too because I made them their food and sometimes it had more to do with texture than anything else! I think sweet potatoes were definitely a hit though!

Try going outside for her photo shoot! If she can sit up some, prop some things around her under a blanket...even get a wagon and sit her in one...I know where are you going to get a wagon...neighbor maybe? anyways...whatever you do will be adorable!

  8. awe, she's absolutely adorable! Love your photography. :-)

My little guy's favorite food was rice cereal, so every new thing that I introduced to him I'd load up with rice cereal.

  11. did you already do a colour contrast? place her to the bottom right of the shot in purple...and have the rest of the background be lime green.....or something where the background and the baby contrast.

Also do you still have the clothes she wore when first born? photo of her laying down to her first outfit...preferably colour contrasting outfits.

i dunno...just thrown out idea...ohhh...make her ride daisy like a horse...that'd be a good one! LOL

  14. So cute! I can't believe Daisy didn't like prunes, I hear ALL babies like prunes (I, personally don't know why) but Raleyn LOVED them. I think her favorite foods are sweet potatoes and peas!
